The luxurious Pousada de Estoi, born from the restoration of an old eighteenth century palace, is located in the village of Estoi, only 10Km away from the city of Faro. The Palace was built by Francisco José Carvalhal e Vasconcelos, a member of the Royal Court, between 1782 and 1783, with in the baroquestyle. It was a royal architect who designed the palace to look like the palace of Queluz.
José Francisco da Silva, bought the property in 1893 and restored it. It was inaugurated in 1909 with the presence of all the famous people in the Algarve. The King D.Carlos I, gave him the title of Viscount of Estoi in 1906. In 1977 was considered a building of Public Interest and in 1987 was acquired by the Municipality of Faro.
All the 60 rooms and the 3 suites, are spacious and has all the modern facilities. The superior rooms have their own private balconies from where you can see the Farocity and the ocean. Every part of the palace surround the visitors in a luxurious environment, with true treasures of our history.
